As 2015 comes to a close, we want to thank our Peirce family for all you've done to help those in need over the past few weeks during this holiday season. Here's a look at all the ways we've been giving back during our Season of Giving.
- Thank you to our Peirce community members who participated in our annual American Red Cross blood drive. Our donations will go on to help 36 patients at area hospitals. One donation can help save the lives of up to three people, according to the American Red Cross, so every donation truly counts!
- We also collected more than 75 toys and books for families in need as part of the Youth Action Toy Drive. These gifts were given to families living at HELP in West Philadelphia to brighten up their holiday seasons.

- For the past six holiday seasons, the Peirce community has also collected money to purchase uniforms for elementary students in need at Thomas May Peirce Elementary School. This year we were able to raise money to purchase 144 uniform pieces, including cardigans, shirts, pants, jumpers, socks, and tights. Students who have been identified by the school’s staff will receive some of the pieces, and the rest will be kept in the nurse’s office and issued to students as needed.
- Finally, in honor of our 150th anniversary, we collected more than 150 pieces of business attire for use in our Career Development Services Career Closet! These items will ensure our male students are dressed to impress on their next interview.
Thank you to everyone who helped make these donations possible! We’re proud that we were able to brighten the holidays for those in our community this season.
